Responsibilities
Realheart is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer motivated to progress the technology from the research stage to clinical use and commercialization. An opportunity exists for a design engineer professional to join the small and dynamic team to support design activities to meet documented performance requirements.

Together with your other team members, you will ensure that we will design innovative solutions, with high reliability that will be tested, validated and realized with the best performance. In this job, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop yourself in the medical device area and work in an innovative team where you can influence and enable the next generation of life saving products.

Main responsibilities
• Develop and design new and existing solutions 
• Analyzing system performance 
• Develop and give input to the technical roadmap as well as technical requirement specifications 
• Identify root cause problems and close knowledge gaps
• Your CAD-design tool is Solid Works
• Testing, hands-on tests and performance testing of system
• Documentation
• Contribute to technical input and information to technical publications and instructions

Qualifications
We believe you have a relevant higher academic degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics or Biomedical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years’ experience from working with design engineering. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience from electro-mechanical equipment development in a regulated environment such as medical devices, defense, aerospace or automotive.  Strong knowledge in Solid Works and some experience from thermal investigations (using Ansys).  You communicate well in English and in Swedish and like to work in a global environment with high pace. You are an open-minded team player with willingness to find innovative solutions and to deliver results.
