Mechanical Design Engineer, Transmission Design

Driveline Systems at Volvo CE is the core competence center within Volvo CE for driveline development and are responsible for developing transmissions, brakes and wheel axles including systems engineering, SW & controls and design for all Volvo CE products e.g. Articulated Haulers, Wheel Loaders and Motor Graders.

Department Transmission Design is responsible for the development of transmissions to VCE's loaders, articulated haulers and graders. To the transmission design department in Eskilstuna, are we looking for both senior and newly graduated mechanical designer to strengthen our department's capabilities and expertise.

Your responsibilities as a design engineer will be to develop 3D-modells and production drawings in close cooperation with production, purchasing and sub suppliers. You will also be responsible to assure our quality targets both functional and robustness & reliability.

Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, and preferably some years of experience in the design of driveline components.
- Experience of 3D CAD design and development in Catia v5, Solid Edge and Ansys is positive
- Experience in creation and design of cast and forged articles are positive.
- For a senior position minimum of 7 years of experience in Mechanical Design work within a relevant area

- Ability to work and perform in cross-functional project teams, both inside and outside the company
- Self going and be able to take initiative
- Good command of Swedish and English, both written and spoken
