Mechanical Design Manager

You are a wizard
What we’re looking for is a kind of rockstar-wizard hybrid in the field of mechanical design. Someone who can shoulder the responsibilities of a senior mechanical engineer and is eager to use their high DFA and DFM skills. Maybe you even have some textile experience and have worked with enclosure and integration of electronics into products, and know a thing or two about coating and surface finish. Our products being what they are, a general feel for designing for transportation and having studied packaging design would also come in handy. You will be expected to head up development of processes, methods and templates for Mechanical Design and Product Quality verification. And you’ll be fortunate enough to do so with the help of some of very best product developers we’ve found.
Your life B.F. (Before Fractal)
While grey hair isn’t technically a pre-requisite for the position, we’re certain you have a minimum of 15 years experience working in different industries (probably smaller companies outside of the automotive industry, maybe with experience from Asia.) You have a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and are an expert in designing plastic and sheet metal parts. You are comfortable approving design solutions, CAD, drawings etc. and know Solidworks like the back of your hand. Your English is more than good enough for international collaboration, and you are either between jobs at the moment or just really motivated to come work with a fast-growing hardware company with great team-spirit and shiny new offices to boot.
