We are now searching for a Mechanical Designer who will strengthen our mechanical designing team in the Main Body Module within Carton Economy.In this position you will strengthen the mechanical competence area to achieve robust and simple design.You will work with development within the main body module in the Tetra Pak A1 platform, all the way from concept studies, to monitoring and verifying test results as well as supporting our low cost manufacturing supply chain.The Main Module is the mechanical part in the filling machine that forms, seals, cuts and folds the carton.In the coming years we will focus within the Carton Economy platforms to build up complete packaging lines for our aseptic filling machines.We will also increase our design activity in China to be closer to the customer market. The work originates from different development projects.You will therefore work closely with other project members, such as test engineers, automation engineers and package development engineers.The work will include: .Designing, drawing, calculation and documentation of mechanical equipment .Leading the mechanical design within projects .Steering other module designers and team members for fulfilment of their objectives .Driving improved design methodology and standardisation .Usage of World Class Engineering tools e.g.Robust design and FMEA .Simulation and evaluation of concepts and prototypes .Investigating new technical solutions and comparing them with used technologies As a person you are multi-tasking and can easily take initiatives and prioritise.You work independently and are thorough as well as structured.You are open-minded, enthusiastic and a good team member who easily receives confidences from colleagues and partners.You have a high proficiency in English, both written and spoken. To be successful in this position we believe that you have a university degree within Mechanics or other relevant education.You have good experience in mechanical design, minimum 3 years, preferably from the food industry.Furthermore you have experience from CAD and other simulation tools and it will be seen as an advantage if you have worked with ProE, SAP R/3.
