Development & Engineering The D&E unit develops and produces packaging systems and distribution solutions for liquid food.The unit is part of the Tetra Pak Group which has a global coverage and key product development centres in Modena, Italy, Lund, Sweden, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.In Modena, Lund, and Minneapolis we provide product innovation and industrialization of packaging systems and distribution solutions including world class expertise in key competence areas as well as in raw material converting processes and equipment to our customers all around the world. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to our Prototype & Product Maintenance team within D & E Carton Core Platform in Lund.We are looking for a Mechanical Designer who can combine design knowledge from Pro Engineering and practical prototype verification.The position will be based in Lund.We are not just a supplier, but also work as a knowledge partner in every step, helping to sharpen the competitive edge.We deliver highly advanced Sealing components and solutions within the area of impulse heating and induction heating.We have both the development/prototyping and commercial manufacturing in-house in Lund.This position will work in close cooperation with our production of sealing products and with other engineers, designers and suppliers.Your main responsibilities will be to: .Design of new Sealing components using Pro Engineering .Develop prototypes of sealing components together with other team members .Design and develop tools and inhouse test machines The successful candidate possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical design or equivalent in combination with a demonstrated expertise in Pro/E.Highly developed creative and innovative skills, and broad exposure to the engineering field, blended with the ability to communicate with all levels within the business is a must.You show a hands-on attitude, and are familiar with different types of manufacturing methods.Some background of leading teams as supervisor or equivalent is also merited.A high degree of proficiency in English including good writing/reporting skills is essential.A successful working style includes personal drive, ability to work both independently in stressful situations and build networks when needed.
