Customized Bioprocess Solutions (CBS) is a department within Cytiva that develops and deliver customized hardware and software used in Biopharma manufacturing. The 200 employees are based in Uppsala, Umeå and Shanghai. CBS is a growing business and besides customized hardware we are also handling pre-defined/standard products; low volume recurring designs developed by CBS organization. These products together with CBS configurator products are under change control.
We are now looking for a new Mechanical Designer with passion for product quality to strengthen our lifecycle management team!
What You'll Do
In this role you have responsibility for mechanical design and quality, including layout of 2D/3D design, drawings, component & equipment selection and regulatory compliance of our products. In your daily activities you work closely with the other design disciplines (System design, Automation and Electrical design) as well as Production engineers and external suppliers to ensure all necessary requirements are gathered and implemented into the product.
Create mechanical designs in 3d-environment (CREO)
Be part of the Change Control Board (CCB) core team and responsible for activities associated with change requests (ECR´s/ECO´s) for existing pre-defined and configurable product offerings. You will make investigations, suggest solutions and implement approved changes.
Participate in technical reviews and collaborative technical forums
Involved in design standardization activities for CBS custom products
Working in a quality focused, dynamic environment in a team of 15, with long experience and deep knowledge of CBS, our products and customers
Who you are:
This position requires a BSc in Engineering or equivalent knowledge
You have previous detailed experience within mechanical design, materials of construction, strength calculations, drawings and layouts
You are quality focused preferably with experience from regulatory controlled environments
Excellent CAD (CREO or similar) experience and good knowledge around machine safety
Knowledge of international standards related to mechanical design
Comfortable in technical discussions with colleagues and suppliers
As a person you enjoy working in smaller teams and you have excellent communication skills
You are a self-starter, energizing and a problem solver. It is important to be driven, with a strong technical interest and a will to grow
You need to be proficient in Swedish and English languages, both written and verbal
