About the job
In this role, you will work in a design team designing operating tables and peripheral equipment to our worldwide customers. STILLE operating tables are developed for specialized use during minimally invasive surgery where precision and high image quality is our ambition. The table is used standalone or in cooperation with a C-arm. The operating tables on which the patient is positioned hydraulically or electromechanically and maneuvered for the optimal positions for the surgeon to reduce surgery time, exposure to X-ray as well as creating accessibility and safe procedures.
You will be one in a team to maintain and to design new products, all the way to the delivery of a by third party certified medical device. You will work with both technology and people. For the right person, there are great opportunities for development and the role can be shaped accordingly.


Who are you?

You are a trained engineer having at least three years track record in mechanical design engineering. Preferably you also have experience in IEC 60601 Medical Devices design with practical knowledge of MDD, MDR, FDA regulations and harmonized standards.
In addition, if you have an understanding and experience of production and manufacturing methods, we see it as a big plus. You genuinely like technology but also people. You thrive in social contexts, are safe and calm and handle both projects and individuals. You are enthusiastic, committed but also educational and listening.
You are a social person and through your skills and professional approach, you find it easy to build long-term relationships and create trust and confidence both internally and externally. You find it easy to understand customer needs and translate it into the business. At the same time, you are effective, results-focused and solution-oriented, without risking quality and safety.
Of course, you handle MS Office without problems and since we are an international company you speak and write unhindered in English and preferably also Swedish.
Qualifications
BS (MS preferred) in mechanical engineering
3+ years' experience as a mechanical design engineer
CAD experience (preferably SolidWorks) mastery of parts/assemblies/drawings
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (plating, milling, turning, EDM, grinding)
Experience with electromechanical (actuator) design, mechanical gearboxes, motor selection, sizing, and hydraulics

Stille headquarter, production and R&D is located in Torshälla (Eskilstuna).
