Aurobay is looking for a Mechanical Designer. You will be a part of the Design Department Maintenance group, within the Plant Maintenance section, which is responsible for designing and rebuilding of manufacturing equipment for the Aurobay engine production.

The group has been operational for almost two years, and we see a growing interest and need for our expertise due to successful work. We are responsible for redesign of existing equipment and process as well as creating new designs when required. The group consists of electrical and mechanical designers, IT/infrastructure engineers, project coordinators and installers. We work together with the whole organization to find the best solutions and utilize other resources when needed.

What you’ll do
For this role you act as a key contact between Design Department Maintenance and customer to ensure engineering activities are effectively organized and executed. Your tasks will include to oversee the activities and operations of the Design Department Maintenance to ensure delivery of excellent support and services to customers. You will be responsible to plan and coordinate tasks, projects, and resources in close co-operation with Manager and Project Coordinators. Your areas of responsibility as a Mechanical Designer are:

- Mechanical and pneumatical design and implementation of solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability.
- Assist in prioritizing, planning, and executing weekly design activities.
- Promote quality of work, continuous improvement, and right first-time culture across all design activities.
- Act as role model for way-of-working regarding design procedures from development to implementation.



Do you fit the profile?

We believe you have a university degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar. Good experience of influencing a team and supporting in promoting a culture of continuous improvement. You are innovative with a self-starter attitude to develop groundbreaking solutions to new problems.

You have strong knowledge of:

- CAD modelling, drawings, and machine design with experience in design analyses.

- Lean Design and Manufacturing

- Pneumatical design (meritorious).


You have passion for people and for the technology we develop. You are structured and likes to continuously improve current working processes. As a person, you are goal and result-oriented, with a hands-on and can-do attitude, high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm.
