Mechanical Designer

Development & Engineering The D&E unit develops and produces packaging systems and distribution solutions for liquid food.The unit is part of the Tetra Pak Group which has a global coverage and key product development centres in Modena, Italy, Lund, Sweden, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.In Modena, Lund, and Minneapolis we provide product innovation and industrialization of packaging systems and distribution solutions including world class expertise in key competence areas as well as in raw material converting processes and equipment to our customers all around the world.The position is within Development & Engineering Carton Economy Platform, Equipment lines, and the team in the Superstructure Module.In the coming years there will be a focus within Carton Economy to build up complete packaging lines for our TFA (Tetra Fino Aseptic), TCA (Tetra Classic Aseptic) and TWA (Tetra Wedge Aseptic) packages.You will work with development within the Superstructure module in the Tetra Pak A1 platform, all the way from concept studies, to monitor and verify the result at tests, and later support our low cost manufacturing supply chain. The work is driven from projects.You will work in close cooperation with other project members, such as test engineers, automation engineers and package development engineers.The work will include: .Design of mechanical equipment .Owner / Driver for the mechanical design within projects .Co-ordination of mechanical design made by consultants or sub suppliers .Use of World Class Engineering tools .Investigate new technical solutions To be a successful candidate you will have a University degree within Mechanics or other equal education.You have 5-10 years experience in mechanical design preferably from the hygienic area.Experience from Robust design and design for China manufacturing is a merit as well as knowledge in ProE, SAP R/3 and simulation tools. As a person you are highly motivated for setting up- and drive projects, with an innovative structured mindset.You are comfortable to work alone as well as in a team and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Very good command of English, both written and verbal, is required.
