About us:

Our team, UECF provides the hardware and architecture needed to charge the electrical vehicles and to connect all the high voltage components such as batteries and the electrical machine to each other. We have interfaces with other teams at R&D, Scania production, service workshops and of course the driver. The charging box, high voltage connection boxes, fuse boxes, electrical power take-off for the bodybuilder and connectors are some examples of what we are developing. 


About the role:

As a Designer and Component Owner, you will be part of designing our boxes and have the full responsibility to manage and secure the development work at the supplier. Technical content, performance, quality, time and cost will be important areas to work with and balance. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment within Scania and you will be the one coordinating the activities around your component to make sure we have a world-class solution in the end. Of course with the help of the rest of the team. We are moving into the agile way of working. Common prioritized backlog and shared responsibility to succeed.

 Example of tasks:


• concept generation
• designing parts in CATIA
• technical problem solving
• follow up on the technical development and quality of the component together with the supplier
• define and secure test plans and test results
• work with the installation team to ensure a good complete solution
• prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate to stakeholders
• contribute to the future HW technology roadmap

Profile for this role:


• be motivated and driven to deliver the best possible results and the best way forward in collaboration with others
• have an interest and understanding of technology
• have a talent for coordinating and structuring your work tasks, with the ability to priorities
• have the ability to navigate between details and overview to find the optimal technical solution
• have experience with designs in plastic and/or casting is a benefit
• have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the automotive business
• be fluent in English/Swedish
