Preparation & Forming Solutions, within Equipment Engineering, D&E, is a dedicated team responsible for functions in our roll fed and ready to fill filling machines. Our machines operate all over the world with diverse and challenging demands on our equipment. To meet these demands our development teams must find simple, robust and elegant solutions to intricate problems.
In the role as Mechanical Designer, you will over time have the opportunity to work with early technology development, product development as well as product life cycle activities. Your assignments will include frequent interactions with other people and competence areas such as automation, test engineers, aseptic specialists and sealing technology. As you grow in your role there is for instance a possibility for you to take the overall responsibility of a sub-system.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
• Break down requirements and root causes into tangible engineering attributes
• Develop robust functions from idea to validation.
• Drive mechanical design activities including planning, requirements handling, design, validation and documentation
• Actively pursue studies and know-how of new technologies and components
Who you are
You are a person with strong analytical skills and a genuine technical interest. You combine creativity with a high commitment to quality. Customer focus is a top priority for you. Your will to contribute and deliver is strong, but you always put the success of your team first. You manage contacts with other competences with ease, within as well as outside the company.
You have a University degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years well documented experience from mechanical engineering in machine design.
You have very good knowledge in Creo and virtual engineering tools, you have experience of working in projects within given time and cost frames. To be successful in the role you will need a good command of English, both spoken and written.
