As a Mechanical Designer you will face the challenge of gradually grasping the accountability for design solutions and its impact on important cost parameters for Tetra Pak filling equipment destined for growing economies.You will gain thorough knowledge of our business and customers and work closely with other project members, such as test engineers, automation engineers and package development engineers.You will be a part of a team with a high technical level where openness and knowledge sharing are fundamentals for our way of working together.

Our design team has ownership through the whole life cycle of the Automatic Splicing Unit (ASU) & Pulltab Module within Equipment Lines, Carton Economy.In the coming years we will focus within the Carton Economy platforms to build up complete packaging lines for our aseptic filling machines.We will also increase our design activity in China to be closer to the customer market.

In this position you will strengthen the mechanical competence area to achieve robust and simple design.The work originates from different development projects and you will work with development and engineering solutions, including monitoring and verifying results, as well as supporting our low cost manufacturing supply chain.ASU & Pulltab Module includes all functions that handle packaging, strip and pulltab materials needed for a carton, and then feeds it to the next module.

The work will include:
-Design, drawing, calculation and documentation of mechanical equipment
-Leading the mechanical design within projects
-Steering other module designers and team members for fulfilment of their objectives
-Driving improved design methodology and standardisation
-Usage of World Class Engineering tools e.g.Robust design and FMEA
-Simulation and evaluation of concepts and prototypes
-Investigating new technical solutions and comparing them with used technologies

Kvalifikationer

You are a driven person with passion for technical issues.You focus on the result and appreciate the value of good teamwork.For you, quality comes naturally and you are skilled in planning and prioritizing.The complexity of the position requires you to multitask and being able to analyse data and make conclusions.

To be successful in this position we believe that you have a university degree within Mechanics or other relevant technical education.You have 3-5 years experience in robust design solutions, preferably from the packaging industry.You are skilled in calculation and design methods and have a high proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Experience with filling machines and design for manufacturing will be seen as an advantage, as will experience with ProE and SAP R/3.
