As a Mechanical designer - Tender preparation, you will engage in a variety of engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation, and software engineering. Your role will encompass discipline engineering and design, planning, risk assessments, and the coordination of resources such as personnel and equipment.

How you’ll make an impact
Ensure engineering is developed with complete and multidisciplinary information, leading the development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges, and driving the completion of all engineering activities on the project.
Coordinate engineering disciplines across several projects, providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities, and designing and conducting experiments, analyzing, and interpreting data.
Prepare complete project documents in the area of responsibility, acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline, and completing engineering assignments for that discipline.
Deliver cost-effective quality solutions within budget and contract, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and mitigating potential risks.
Create work plans and cost estimates, reviewing and approving scope, budget, and schedule for assignments.
Interact directly with customers, officials, contractors, and the supply chain.
Your background
An Experienced Professional (P2) with practical knowledge of the job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience, capable of solving difficult but typically not complex problems, and able to work independently with general supervision.
May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Mechanical plant design for HVDC converter station tenders, including the preparation of tender documents and design concepts according to customer specifications, applicable standards, and internal HE requirements.
3D modeling of equipment layouts and design coordination with various internal and external disciplines.
Bill of Quantities and engineering hours cost sheets.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as Siemens NX and PLM systems like Team Center.
