We are now looking for several Mechanical Development Engineers for the Global R&D function, Power Wheelchair Development.
Key Tasks
As a Development Engineer, you will work closely with Test Engineers, Project Managers as well as other engineers in cross functional projects developing user friendly products with high quality suitable for production and assembly. The positions involve design, product development and documentation of new products as well as enhancing and maintaining the existing product range. To succeed in the role, you must be curious about our users, care about the user feedback and have a user-centered mindset.
As Permobil is a medical device company we value your ability to work with technical requirements traceable to user needs and can prove that the design performs as intended. You document this in easy-to-read plans and reports that complies with internal and external regulations.
As a Mechanical Development Engineer, you will:
Develop new technical solutions and perform concept studies for existing and future products.
Incorporate latent user needs into the product solution.
Always have the user need in mind and find solutions to meet their expectations.
Document the development work according to our quality process.
Depending on your seniority you will lead and mentor others in their pursuit of improving as development engineers.
If you are in the beginning of your career there are good development opportunities.
Your Background
University degree (Master or Bachelor) in mechanical engineering.
Preferably a few years of working experience.
You have experience from PDM, 3D Cad and drawings (Solid works or similar).
You might have worked with requirements, risk analysis and product life cycle question.
Knowledge in materials, surface treatment and manufacturing methods.
Good communications skills in both Swedish and English.
Experience from the medical device industry or automotive industry is considered an advantage.
