Mechanical Development Expert

Objective
To apply technology solutions to develop new products/modules/systems and current product improvements by generation, evaluation, analysis and development of design concepts.

Key responsibilities
- Create and validate new mechanical components / system taking care of its design and development (technical specification, functionality, reliability, manufacturability, safety etc.)
- Drive the execution of mechanical development project/activities
- Develop detailed mechanical design and test specifications
- Create mechanical design options to meet design specifications, manufacturing processes and assembly requirements
- Test and evaluate mechanical designs and concepts to meet the specified function/features, quality and cost targets
- Participate in system and subsystem reviews
- Participate in supplier evaluation and selection
- Supply all technical input for product literature, labels, technical manuals, etc.
- Calculations and simulations

Key functional qualifications
- Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering with tool design background
- Advanced Prototype Building
- Excellent knowhow of metal stamping and injection moulding processes
- Excellent knowhow of Electrolux Production process (ZM, PLV and KIN factories)
- Excellent knowhow of Team Center PLM tool
- Excellent knowledge of Electrolux Engineering change process
- Thorough knowledge of Electrolux DFMEA principles
- Knowhow of white goods manufacturing especially of dishwashers is a huge plus
