As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work mainly with departments and functions related to Maintenance, Reliability, and Technology & Operation to improve operational reliability, availability, and functionality in the Steelworks. You will both lead and participate in various projects. These projects are focused on mechanics and can involve everything from purchasing new machines, constructing improvements/changes in CAD to supporting our FU technicians in their work and routines.
You will be involved in problem-based improvement groups and lead rotor cause analyses in the event of major or recurring operational problems. To optimize the maintenance of the equipment and maintain "World-Class Maintenance", you initiate planned maintenance efforts, develop maintenance routines, follow up on disturbances and key figures for the process' equipment - Always in close collaboration with Production, Technology, and Reliability departments.

Your role includes:
Analyze, update and plan reinvestment of existing equipment
Conduct rotor cause analyses and ensure that process requirements are met
Participate in emergency maintenance in the event of an accident
Participate in the management group for Maintenance Steelworks and develop long-term strategies
Participate in the daily management
Project management for the development of machinery and working methods
Maintain correct drawing documents and function descriptions

Additional qualifications:
Engineering education focused on machinery, mechanics, maintenance, or similar
Work experience in heavy industries
Good formal competencies in mechanical maintenance
Good IT and system skills
You are fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing
It is meriting if you have knowledge in Lean / Six Sigma and rotor case analyzes
