The Hardware Department
The Hardware department consists of two teams: Mechanics and Software. The Mechanics team is responsible for developing and maintaining the mechanical, optical, and esthetical parts of the analyzers and accessories. The Software team is responsible for developing and maintaining the embedded software, PC software, and electronics for the analyzers and accessories. Both teams have responsibilities in testing analyzers and software according to applicable international regulations and standards, and in transferring designs to production.

Key tasks as Mechanical Engineer
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies for our automated microscopes such as interfacing optical parts and moving mechanics for handling patients’ samples.
- Collect requirements for the end customer’s needs and utilize these requirements in the design solution.
- Test the design and construction of our modules, accessories, and systems.
- Create specifications, requirements, parts lists, test instructions, and assembly instructions.
- Review design proposals and documents and contribute with constructive criticism
- In cooperation with our third-party manufacturers, transfer new systems and accessories into production.

Who you are
Requirements for this position:
- A passion for innovation, technology, improvement, and creativity
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, using CAD
- You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience from strength calculations or similar analytical problem solving
- Experience from using Inventor and Vault
- Experience in designing parts for injection molding
- Understanding of integrating optics and electronics in the mechanical design
- Excellent Swedish written and verbal communication skills.
You are analytical and can quickly grasp complex issues and have a good ability to prioritize. You are careful, pay attention to detail and follow the quality standards needed in the work. You take independent responsibility for your work - both successes and setbacks. You strive for good results and continuous improvement.
