Mechanical Engineer

We are now looking for you, a mechanical engineer to join our Fixed Domes Mechanics Team within R&D. You will get to design products that creates value and save lives. The position is at Axis HQ in Lund.

Who is your future team?
You will belong to a team with driven fun and team-oriented mechanical engineer colleagues. You will also work together with product managers, project managers, line managers and engineers from other departments. Product development with us is about having fun and succeeding together.

What you'll do here as a mechanical engineer?
You will develop some of Axis most technically advanced cameras. In the projects, together with a couple of colleagues, you develop the mechanical design from concept study to mass production. In the team, you work closely with electronics, software and many other internal functions such as quality, production and purchasing. In order to optimize the production of the design, you also have close contact with our suppliers around the world via phone/email and sometimes through travel.

Who are we looking for?
A practical designer preferably with a few years of work experience. You are passionate about product development from the first idea to the final product. You like varied work with everything from designing concepts to communicating with suppliers and helping to start the production. You are curious about technology and people and like to share your knowledge. You like to challenge old truths and develop new innovative products by visualizing your thoughts in 3D and creating prototypes. You value good communication to build long-lasting relationships.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

* Fine mechanics.
* Prototyping, 3D printing.
* Design for mass production.
* 3D CAD system, preferably Creo.
* Molded construction (injection molding, die casting).
