This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. A day in the Life:
As a mechanical engineer in product development projects and product and process care activities with extensive experience from developing of injection molded parts. You will develop hardware requirements and solutions for new products, as well as refining design for legacy products, by coordination and implementing improvements.
You will work in a small team that is responsible for consumables used in allergy testing equipment. The work will include traditional mechanical engineer work from concept to full verified and validated products in close collaboration with instrument developers and production engineers. Work shall mainly be made on site in Uppsala.

Education
Bachelor of Science or equivalent within Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical subject.



Experience
Experience from development of injection molded parts.
Experience from development of serial produced products.
Understanding of complex product requirements.
Experience from development, based on data driven decisions.



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Skilled in 3D-CAD, preferably surface modeling (Creo)
Experience from life science.
Contribute to planning activities.
Ability of working independently, taking ownership for the management of processes, projects, and timelines.
Communicate and report to lead designers and to team members.
Knowledge and experience within Six sigma.
Skilled to work across departments, in a matrix organization.
Strong self-leadership and presentation skills.
Result driven and team -orientated with the ability to influence outcomes as necessary.
Good organizational and time managements skills to lead multiple ongoing business activities simultaneously.
