We are looking for an energetic high potential with strong drive, motivated to step into the Air Liquide expert world, where autonomy and proactivity are highly appreciated. You will join the ALTEC NEC team composed of members specialized in various disciplines.
WHAT DOES A Mechanical Engineer in gas DO?
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be supporting the sales opportunities involving application expertise both at existing Air Liquide and new customers.
Support projects in all applications and help the other experts for the commissioning (GIL, Combustion, Food cryo,..). In addition you develop and propose a competitive solution.
Understand the control philosophy, the PLC programs and be able to troubleshoot the equipment at customer sites. In combination with other teams within Air Liquide cluster you ensure smooth operation of the customer process.

1. Define and implement application processes and installations for customers together with Project Manager or Department Manager
Design Cryogenic and Gaseous equipment system
Select appropriate mechanical components
Select electrical instrumentation components
Follow-up equipment manufacturing at local subcontractors (on-time, on budget, on-specs)
Knowledge of fluid and/or thermo dynamics

2. Defines and develops application equipment and technical solution
According to IM-WBL guidelines, identifies, propose and assesses equipment industrialisation and improvements or new application equipment with ALTEC Network support and industrial relations with prescriptors and customers
Realize improvements of application equipment according to Safety, reliability and economical objectives.

3. Ensures technical support and trainings and support technological watching
Maintain an overview of gas application equipment and products, and collaborate in the evaluation and assessment of competitive products, processes or new trends
Coordinates, develops and performs engineering-level process training and related materials

4. Manages specific documentation on technologies
Provide technical support for Business developer and engineering team in specific application equipment
Support Applications equipment Knowledge Base updating, clarification, article creation
Create training materials for Support
Create test cases to verify and reproduce issues. Participate as a Specialist in Exhibition/Seminars.

5. Performs of concept (trials) new opportunity project phase
Elaborate technical design, perform trials, start-up & customer trainings
Write the trials/performance reports and presents them to the customer
Build technical part of the AL offer according budgetary constraints, HSE policy and rules


6. Commissioning of projects
Support on the field the commissioning of the projects in GIL, Combustion, Food, ...

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
5 years in engineering & process within the industrial gas industry
Working experience in designing, delivering and supporting end-to-end gas application equipment solutions
Strong mechanical, physic and chemical knowledge. Cryogenic knowledge is appreciable
Strong analytical, critical reasoning, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills demonstrated
Ability to understand customer needs and build cost effective equipment solutions
Languages English
