Mechanical Engineer

Job description
Our rollers (both soil and asphalt) are used in road construction working areas all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability and productivity. Our design work is organized in product improvements, new product development and basic development. We work in close cooperation with the other functions within the product company e.g. Marketing, Strategic purchasing, Production and Service.

You will be working in the Heavy Compaction Design & Development department with Mechanical Design within the area of Machine Integration, from requirements specification to verified solution. You will be a member of a team responsible for the structural frame, engine installation and integration of all systems and components to a complete vehicle.

Expectations are high regarding innovative and cost efficient solutions.
The team consists of about thirteen people with different competencies and objectives. The work is usually done in form of projects where you have your own area of responsibility. You report to the team leader and to project management.

Among the tasks:
- Develop efficient and state of the art design solutions within mechanical design
- Establish documentation/drawings for production and purchasing
- Establishing requirement specifications
- Work with risk assessment, e g FMEA and CE
- Perform dimensioning, theroretical verification and in some cases practical verification
- Be the technical representative for supplier interaction

Experience requirements

Experience within mechancial design using 3D CAD, preferably Creo, is meriting
Competence within structural design and/or design in plastic material will be meriting.


Knowledge
It is important that you have a good knowledge of English and Swedish, both in written and spoken form.

Educational requirements
You have a University level degree within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Personality requirements
