Veoneer are today the largest pure-player in Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS). We design and manufacture products and solutions for active safety, autonomous driving, occupant protection and brake control.

In Linköping, we’re developing our camera systems. As a site, our responsibilities range from electronics and optics to software and vehicle testing.

What you'll do?
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design of the vision systems and central compute units. You will have many contact areas, both internally and externally, with international clients and suppliers, as well as colleagues in other departments. Veoneer's customers are found within the automotive industry and we work together with some of the leading brands.

You will be part of a small tight team where everyone is involved in the daily work and jointly conducts ongoing projects. Your work assignment includes design of enclosures of electronics and camera systems for car applications, requirements management, supplier contacts, and be driving in further development of methodology and processes within the mechanical department.


What you'll bring:
To succeed in this role, you have a creative mindset to develop new concepts and solutions based on market expectations. You can promote your ideas in a cross functional team to further improve the design proposals. You are challenged by finding new solutions and curious to convert them to the next product generations.

You have a Master of Science degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, with a few years of experience and applied knowledge in the following tools and methods:

- Catia V5 - 3D Modeling and 2D Drawing
- Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Knowledge of materials properties
- Design of details in die cast aluminum and injection molded plastic
- Tolerance Analysis
- Mechanical design with regards to EMC characteristics
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Thermal management
- FEM analysis


You have also good planning ability and a high-quality awareness. As a person, you are systematic and structured and able to lead your work forward. Furthermore, you are responsive and have good cooperation ability with your colleagues. You have good language skills in both Swedish and English.
