The preferred location is Ljungby, Sweden but other Kalmar major sites will also be considered.
Main tasks and responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical solutions and offerings for the aftersales market. You will work closely with Product Line R&D departments to ensure that components and solutions meet specified technical requirements. You will also be responsible for organising verification and evaluation of designs and producing technical documents and manuals as required.
Additionally, you will respond to customer demands, plan and perform activities according to specified requirements and time schedules, and perform customer and supplier visits as required.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have a university degree corresponding to the area of responsibility or similar knowledge through experience. You should also possess the ability to work within multinational and matrix organisations. You should have a strong understanding of assembly processes and good understanding of manufacturing processes, and strong skills in 3D CAD systems, with CATIA V5 experience preferred.
Additionally, you should have a good understanding of structural analysis and testing, and knowledge of hydraulic systems would be an advantage. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential, and you should be a problem solver.
