Mechanical Engineer for Electro Mechanical Components We need to strengthen our team with a really skilled mechanical engineer, who's main task will be to develop and maintain electro mechanical connectors, switches and shielding. The mechanical component section is responsible for developing electro mechanical connectors and switches, electromagnetic shielding, mechanics of optical components, acoustical components, batteries and chargers. This is an opportunity for you who want to join the component section working with electromechanical components for our new and future GSM and UMTS-phones. Description of duties: You will often be involved already early in the concept phase, but you also need to follow the components/projects in the high volume production phase in order to solve and monitor production and field issues.It is important to perform root cause analysis on failures and field returns and then to implement counteractions for eliminating these failures on present and future connectors/switches.You will have a "life-time" responsibility for the components you develop. Typically 3-4 projects in different design phases should be supported.You need to daily coordinate actions and interact with the concept team, mechanical projects, electronic department, procurement, production, quality department e.t.c. You also need to have tight contact with our suppliers and production units.This position will require some travel. Qualifications: Your background is preferably Master of Science in Mechanics, electronics or physics, preferably with at least three years of experience of mechanical development.Some keywords are: 3D Cad, SMT process, plating, contact physics, reliability, electro mechanical shielding, e.t.c.
