Conceptual gear shifting system hardware design


The graduates will be part of Driveline gear shifting team. The thesis aims to investigate different actuation concepts and the ability for integration into a gear shifting system.
As a part of the gear shifting team, you will be part of a skilled team with the experience of developing world leading gear shifting systems.
Furthermore, test cell and field test data will be available for analyzing strengths and weaknesses inherent for the different actuation concepts. Based on performance and physical properties of the actuation concepts implications on surrounding systems will have to be documented and visualized.
Moreover, the thesis should aim to document the developed components in our PDM system as CAD models and drawings.
As a part of the gear shifting team you will work with colleagues within testing and verification, various hardware design interfaces such as housings, lubrication, etc.


Students with a background within mechanical engineering are suitable to apply.
