Mechanical Engineer - Mechanics Team

JOB DESCRIPTION Axis Mechanics team is growing and is now looking for a dedicated engineer with a burning interest for mechanical engineering. The job will include design of complete products as well as design of separate mechanical components such as casings, optics and moving parts in a variety of materials. All work will be done in close collaboration with your co-workers in the Electronics & Mechanics team. Additional to this you will function as the mechanical expert supporting other departments in Axis such as Operations, assisting in product start-ups, product maintenance and manufacturing optimization. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS We believe you have a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience with mechanical design. Specific experience from plastic design, tooling, production, mechanical/environmental testing and EMC is highly valued and will come in use in your daily work. Experience in 3-D CAD is mandatory, preferably ProEngineer. Furthermore we believe you are an open minded and driven individual willing to share/receive knowledge and experience with/from the rest of the team. You have good communication skills in English and are easy to collaborate with. OUR ELECTRONICS & MECHANICS DEPARTMENT We are responsible for the hardware development of new products as well as responsible for maintenance of existing products. The department collaborates with the firmware engineers, Operations and Product Management in order to create new world leading products.
