Core mission
Are you an engineer with a passion for fire risk management? Do you dream of working for a nuclear operator?
Then come and join our Mechanical Engineering Service (35 coworkers), which is part of the ILL's Reactor Division, and get involved in high-impact fire-protection projects. In this key role, you will liaise with various internal stakeholders at the ILL, while verifying the compliance of the ILL's installations in this area.
You will also be responsible for accounting for the nuclear materials present on the site, in liaison with the authorities.
Your tasks
As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage the accounting and inventory of nuclear materials present at the nuclear facility INB 67 and liaise with the authorities in charge of nuclear material control (periodic reporting and inspection).
- Contribute to the updating of documents relating to the ERI fire hazard study (Etude de Risque Incendie): fire data sheets, CPE (Consignes Particulière d'Exploitation - special operating instructions), technical data sheets, specific studies, training courses for local first response teams (ELPS), etc.
- Verify and ensure the compliance of fire safety installations with the applicable standards (ERI, APSAD, French standards, etc.) and participate in the preventive maintenance of these installations as technical advisor.
- Support the ILL's Nuclear Safety Unit (Cellule Sûreté) by ensuring that the ILL's ERI fire hazard study is updated and implemented: analysis of FEI (installation modification sheets), attendance during ASN inspections and follow-up of the recommendations.
- Manage all technical projects related to fire protection: carrying out preliminary design studies, drafting specifications for the design, manufacture and installation of new equipment and circuits.
- Manage the installation of new equipment in conjunction with the operational teams.
Your profile
- Master's engineering degree in a field relevant to the position (if possible nuclear engineering or equivalent).
- At least 5 years' professional experience in carrying out projects involving the installation of fire protection systems (passive fire protection systems, active fire protection systems, etc.).
Knowledge of mechanical design (structures, SKID, circuits, etc.).
- Knowledge of fire protection standards (ERI, APSAD, NF EN 12845, etc.).
- Knowledge of the design standards NF EN 13480, 13445.
- Excellent writing skills (procedures, technical specifications, etc.).
- Strong ability to work independently, set priorities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills: you will be required to work other parties (operational teams, control engineers, manufacturing engineer, Reactor Operations Service, CAD technicians, suppliers, inspection body during phases conducted on the worksite, etc.).
