The Product
The thermal management system is managing the temperature of the conventional combustion engine, electric driveline, batteries, charging interface, power take out, CAB and other electric components. This system has a very central and important role in the future customer experience in terms of performance, range, charging, driving and the premium brand.
In future the challenge will be to find solutions for minimizing energy losses and using available energy, and at the same time making sure all components are kept at the ideal temperature ensuring optimal performance and durability with low cost, weight and noise, all this in a global market.
Your assignment
You will work in a team consisting of highly skilled colleagues from different companies within the Traton group. The team is responsible for the cooling package in the front of the truck consisting of heat exchangers, fans, plastic recirculation shields and the suspension of the package including sheet metal and casted brackets.
You are expected to be curious and learn of all the different parts and components in the system and through that build yourself a very wide set of skills and expertise. You will also continuously be encouraged to develop deeper understanding of the thermal management system and contribute to improvements on both product and processes. We believe that is the best way to create a meaningful and stimulating role for you.
Your profile
Personal characteristics we value are good problem solving skills, lots of energy and a can-do mentality. We believe that you are comfortable and appreciate working with others and at the same drive your own work forward and be self-going to find the information you need to succeed in your work. Other than we see that you preferably:
• You have an academic education at university level (Bachelor or Master) and you have an interest in thermal dynamics and heat transfer.
• You have experience in complex 3D-modeling of casted parts and/or plastic parts.
• You have experience from working with development suppliers in an international environment.
• Work experience from the automotive industry as a design engineer or from a relevant cross-functional area.
• CAD-knowledge is a requirement, experience in CatiaV5 and Enovia is meriting
• Professional fluency in English is a requirement.
