We are now looking for a mechanical engineer to join our team in Kista!





Mechanical Engineer



As Mechanical Engineer at StrongPoint, you will be a part of a cross-functional development team located in Stockholm/Kista, working together to build and maintain our product portfolio.



This position is responsible for

* perform a full lifecycle product development - design, develop, test prototypes, implement at production.
* identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.



The Team develops and supports retail solutions in areas as cash management, self-service and goods vending for global markets. The team consists of software, electronics, and mechanical engineers, 25 members in total, located in Stockholm/Kista and Vilnius development hubs.





As Part of Our Team, You Will

* Act as Mechanical Design Engineer on cross-functional development team
* Consider product owner requirements, quality & reliability targets, cost optimization for new product designs.
* Create and maintain 3D CAD files, detailed engineering drawings, and materials specifications.
* Develop bills of materials, special product & process characteristics, test & inspection criteria, and other engineering documentation as necessary.
* Communicate effectively with product owner and suppliers during prototype, pre-launch and early product launch activities.
* Plan and coordinate product/equipment development actions.
* Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
* Provide technical support to:

* Supply Chain to develop suppliers and engineer service companies.
* Program management regarding planning and timing





What we expect from you

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* At least 2 years of experience in product or technology development in cross-functional project teams. Preferably in sheet metal design or metal parts assembly at production and/or plastic parts design
* Working experience with 3D and 2D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e. g. Creo CAD, Windchill PDM)
* Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, materials science etc.
* Creativity and analytical skills
* Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
* Technical writing skills
* Master Swedish and English in both speech and writing
* Skills using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
