MECHANICAL ENGINEER WITH CHASSIS EXPERIENCE TO THE US

ALTEN’s subsidiary XDIN in the US is now looking for a Mechanical Engineer with chassis experience to join their team! 

As selected candidate you will perform a range of duties as described herein. The primary duty will be to support deliveries for the Chassis Structures department including preliminary design and packaging of components, detailed design and dimensioning of part drawings to release components through the design change process as well as documentation in KOLA. The component areas you may support will range from cross-members, cab suspension, engine suspension, and frame reinforcements. Additionally, you will use the listed skills to support design releases with attention to delivering those items with full QDCF. Further duties may include contributing information to detailed time plans for releases (Level 4 Timeplans), engaging in daily team leadership meetings (DTL), supporting department deliveries, and working cross-functionally with various department. You must have industry experience, international experience, software, material etc.

Requirements
 
- UNDERSTANDING OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. 
- WORKING EXPERIENCE IN KOLA.
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE WITH CAD SOFTWARE (SPECIFICALLY PRO-E/CREO PARAMETRIC AND PDMLINK).
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH HEAVY TRUCK OR HEAVY EQUIPMENT, PIPING, BRACKETING, TUBING, SHEET METAL.  
- Understanding of and applying GD&T to detailed drawings.
- It is preferred that the candidate have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
