Straws organization within Supply Chain Operations, Additional Materials is managing the sourcing, production, and supply of Straws for the application on Tetra Pak packages worldwide. Additional Materials Straws has internal production plants in Lisbon (Portugal), Louisa (USA) and Rayong (Thailand), plus 8 plants within LPM Converting Factories.
The Straw organization is going through an exciting journey transforming plastic straws to paper. If you want to be a part of this transformation, then the job as Mechanical Expert could be for you!
In this central role as a Mechanical Expert within the Straw business, you will support overall reliability of equipment from mechanical side, by managing maintenance program and support product life cycle activities. You will also be responsible for supporting factories remotely or onsite for machine troubleshooting, root cause analysis and effective countermeasure.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
Manage and control Documentation i.e. Mechanical Drawings, BOM, Spare parts list, Equipment tree, Operational and Maintenance Manuals, SOPs for standard lines.
Provide and secure input to technical documentation and manuals.
Support process of Continuous improvement (MP System) being part of improvement approval phase, and then to support factories in design improvements and feeding back the changes to Documentation.
Drive innovation to improve quality, safety, reliability, and energy consumption.
Manage central projects related to machine improvements and standardization.
Support cost calculations and evaluation of technical solutions.
The position requires seamless and transparent cooperation with central/clusters/business units etc.
Who you are
We believe you are a person with good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others at different levels of the organization. You have experience of working with teams to drive continuous initiatives and are self-driven with a pro-active approach. You possess strong analytical and logical skills and have knowledge of predictive maintenance concepts. You have the ability to motivate and engage your colleagues.
We believe you have:
Minimum B.Sc./B.Eng. level degree in the field of Mechanical or Mechatronics.
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience as machine designer or as maintenance engineer in the production environment, preferably in the food packaging/processing industry.
Work experience needed of Creo and PDM Link and AutoCAD/Inventor experience is an added advantage.
Work experience in WCM/TPM environment is required.
Solid knowledge of functional safety, quality and mechanical design standards is needed.
MS Office literacy is required.
Fluent in English, both written and verbally is a must.
