The department Mechanical Architecture & Integration in the Complete Vehicle unit has the responsibility to lead geometric system integration of complete cars and platforms. The car is divided into seven blocks, and there are several Block Leaders with the overall responsibility for the blocks. 
We are now looking for 3 Mechanical Integration Engineers to join the join the three groups Platform, Cabin, and Front & Rear.

What you’ll do
As a Mechanical Integration Engineer, you will lead the concept development in your area of the car in the later part of the concept phase, and further balancing of design solution into the engineering phase. You will balance the geometric requirements and solutions from among others: Attribute Leaders, Product Design and Manufacturing to an agreed and well-functioning car. 

This is a very important and central role in our development process. This balancing is the base for all further development work. The role also includes to propose or design own suggestions for design solutions and to support Block Leaders with data for reporting in the various decision-making forums. In time, we also think that you should try on other block areas in the car to get even wider knowledge. Good communication skills are required in this cross-functional role and you will build and maintain an extensive network throughout the company.

To summarize, as Mechanical Integration Engineer you are an architect, a design engineer, and the driving force, to maintain flow in the development process!

Main responsibilities:
•    Lead the concept development in the area
•    Balancing of design solution into the industrial phase
•    Balancing geometric requirements and solutions
•    Develop design proposals for technical solutions/manufacturing process in CATIA V5
•    Perform benchmark studies on competitors
•    Lead Vehicle Integration meetings

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for someone with a technical education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, for example through years of practice) who has basic knowledge of product development processes within automotive as well as knowledge in CATIA V5. You possess technical skills as well as the ability to lead cross functional teams and meetings within different areas. Additionally, you are experienced in working with Microsoft Office and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Previous experience from working with design engineering and experience from Team Center Engineering and VisMockup is meritorious.

On a personal level, you consider yourself to be analytical and structured. You are a skilled communicator and are comfortable with speaking in front of larger groups. You approach situations with a holistic perspective, and you have a genuine interest for facilitating, motivating, and guiding people. In your day-to-day job, you are engaged and self-managed, while being a committed team player. Finally, you have an open and positive mindset!
