The department Mechanical Architecture & Integration in the Complete Vehicle unit has the responsibility to lead geometric system integration of complete cars and platforms. The car is divided into seven blocks, and there are several Block Leaders with the overall responsibility for the blocks. 
We are now looking for a Mechanical Integration Engineer to join one of the blocks Door & Side, Dash & Compartment, or Roof within the Mechanical Integration Cabin group. Are you our new collaborative design engineer with Catia V5 skills ready for a new endeavor? 

What is in it for you?

As a Mechanical Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for balancing the design solution into the engineering phase and also concept development in the later part of the concept phase. You will balance the geometric requirements and solutions from among others: Attribute Leaders, Product Design, and Manufacturing to an agreed and well-functioning car. 

This is a very important and central role in our development process where balancing is the base for all further development work. The role also includes proposing or designing own suggestions for design solutions and to support Block Leaders with data for reporting in the various decision-making forums. In time, we also think that you should try on other block areas in the car to get even wider knowledge.

To summarize, as a Mechanical Integration Engineer you are an architect, a design engineer, and a driving force to maintain flow in the development process! In this role you will have the opportunity to challenge and train your leadership potential.

In this role, you will lead the concept development in the area, balance design solution into the industrial phase, balance geometric requirements and develop design proposals for technical solutions and manufacturing process in Catia V5. 
You would be performing benchmark studies on competitors and leading vehicle integration meetings in as constructive way as possible. 

Are you the one we are looking for? 

We expect someone with a technical educational or background with basic knowledge of product development processes within automotive industry. Besides knowledge of Catia V5, you possess technical skills as well as the ability to lead cross functional teams and meetings within different areas. 
Additionally, you are experienced in working with Microsoft Office and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Previous experience from working with design engineering and experience from Team Center Engineering and VisMockup is meritorious.

In this cross-functional role, you build extensive networks throughout the whole organization, and you are a skilled communicator and collaborator comfortable with speaking in front of larger groups.
