* A well-driven person with a problem-solving mindset.
* Good communication skills and good at taking own initiatives.
* A person that can work in a team and make it more effective & efficient
* Openness to closely collaborate with colleagues from Siemens Energy sites around the world and with other disciplines and components.
* Experience from gas turbine related Mechanical Integrity calculations, or similar, including multidisciplinary interaction and lifing of high temperature components.
* Good knowledge in fatigue and fracture (LCF/TMF and crack propagation) and creep.
* Experience in evaluating material testing data and material constitutive modeling.
* Knowledge in topology optimization and 3D print process simulation is highly recommended.
* Good skills in Hyperworks, ABAQUS and preferably also experience from topology optimization tools such as Optistruct.
* Skills in MATLAB, python and Fortran are merits.
* English language skills are required. Swedish language skills are meritorious.

Your responsibilitites

You will be part of a diverse R&D group consisting of highly skilled engineers who work with design, solid mechanics and heat transfer, developing the next generation of AM concepts and lead the work of implementation it into the fleet.

As a Solid Mechanics engineer, you will be responsible for performing lifing calculations which are essential in the development process, from concept phase to prototyping and final design.

AM enables new ways to design components with improved functionality and shortened lead time. This requires new engineering skills for design and simulation of parts, and new methods are being developed in parallel within several areas such as design concept generation, heat transfer, lifing and materials.
* Be a key analyst working to implement AM from concept generation into fleet implementation according tothe product development process PDP.
* Developing novel design concepts into components that can be produced by AM in an efficient manner, following them through design, prototyping, testing and preparation for serial production.
* Interact with mechanical designers, heat transfer engineers and materials engineers in designing components that will fulfil integrity requirements.
* Responsibility for carrying out all necessary MI calculations including LCF/TMF, creep, crack propagation and oxidation evaluation through the AM projects, from early concepts assessments through to final lifetime calculations according product requirements including creation of relevant review material and final MI reports.
* Responsibility to optimize designs from early concept phase using different methods such as topology optimization, for better lifing and manufacturability by AM.
* Evaluating material testing data and developing/updating material constitutive models.
