About the department and the team:
We're a group of tech enthusiasts, who are on the cutting edge of developing Husqvarna Automower technology for the consumer market, passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Here, you’ll find a dynamic team divided into two groups, focused on creating new products and improving existing ones. You'll be working alongside a passionate and motivated team of Mechanical Architects, Lead Engineers and Mechanical Designers, in a culture that encourages open communication and a passion for innovation.

Your role:
As a Mechanical Lead Engineer, you'll be the captain of the projects mechanical development, managing mechanical designers and coordinating with other departments such as factory, purchasing, and industrial design - to deliver new development projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You’re into the big picture. We want to create a product that's not just visually stunning, but also packed with top-notch technical features that'll wow our end customers. Our production unit has got our back and therefore you'll also need to make sure that the assembly process can be seamless.
You'll team up with the technical project managers in electronics and software, to make sure that every aspect of the product is brilliant. After all, we're all robot developers in some way, and we're going to create something truly amazing, together.
You will:
Plan, coordinate, lead and be responsible for mechanical deliveries in development projects
Define mechanical requirements in new development projects, based on customer requirement specification and system requirement specification (together with the mechanical architects).
Keeping tabs on progress and reporting on quality, time, and cost to meet project goals
Continuously report mechanical status to PMO Project Manager and/or Overall Technical Project Manager (TPM)
Leading and supporting a team of mechanical designers
Making sure mechanical deliveries meet Husqvarna's standards
Collaborating with managers to support the personal development of mechanical design engineers
Keeping the managers informed on resource needs for the projects

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
We're looking for you, who have a degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) and experience in some type of technical leadership in mechanics, which can be anything from smaller assignments/projects that you have held together from start to goal, to roles such as Project Manager, Mechanical Lead Engineer or similar.
You are social, analytical, creative and have a strong passion for tech. Bonus points if you likes to learn new things and are always on the lookout for the latest and greatest advancements. And, because communication is key in this role, fluency in both Swedish and English is a must.
A plus if you have experience in high-volume production and plastic construction, a knowledge of mechatronics or electronics and expertise in built-in electronics.
