Our client, BWSC, is busy building and operating diesel power plants worldwide, and they now have a vacant position for a highly qualified technical specialist in their Technical Investigation Group, which is part of the service project department in the generation services area. . Among the tasks of the Technical Investigation Group are: . assistance to ensure proper solutions to technical issues, primarily in the general services area, but also in other parts of BWSC and to external clients . collection of experience in order to keep a supreme know-how level within operation and maintenance of diesel power plants. . information to the engineering departments on experience with operation and maintenance . troubleshooting for all service and guarantee projects . technical support and advice to resident engineers (TSA) as well as to operation and maintenance staff (O&M) . communication with clients for technical advice . participation in design review for sales projects and for new projects . participation in technical development in BWSC and with engine manufacturers . travelling in relation to trouble shooting and testing on various plants An interesting job with great technical challenges in a dynamic project-oriented service organization. Since most of their sites are situated different places around the globe, you will be working in a very international environment, and the salary will be competitive. You must be willing to travel approx 50-100 days per year. You are a skilled mechanical or marine engineer. You have a high level of practical experience (min. 5 years) and understanding of design and operational problems of diesel engines and power plants, including all auxiliary equipment. Knowledge of high voltage systems and control systems is an advantage. High level of English both verbal and written, proficient in Windows and MS Office.
