Mechatronics Design Engineer - Husqvarna AB

About the position
We are looking for a Design Engineer - Mechatronics (Mechanical Engineer) for a six month assignment at Husqvarna AB, starting September 2024.

Husqvarna is now looking for a skilled Design Engineer within Mechatronics with a strong focus on project deliveries as well as cross-functional team and supplier interaction.

Responsibilities
You are going to work in a highly motivated team in Huskvarna, Sweden. The department is responsible for the development of the powertrain in both Battery and Petrol products. Husqvarna develops next generation handheld products for forest industry and urban environments. You will have a key role in the development of future products.

Key tasks
- 3D and 2D design of Electromechanical Components
- Electromechanical concept design and support feasibility studies
- Manage change requests and interact with external suppliers
- Support “Squad” and Team deliveries, internal and external relations.


Your profile
For this position you are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least one year of experience (academic or professional) in Mechatronics or Mechanical Design. You also have experience with Design tools such as Catia. Your ability to work together with colleagues and solve technical issues is strong, along with your communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written. Fluency in English and Swedish is required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in embedded systems and mechatronics
- Experience in Development of high-volume products
- Knowledge within Electromechanical components; Wiring and PCB.
- Experience in frequent contact with suppliers/customers.
- Experience in PLM system; SmarTeam.
- Experience in the design of light metal, machining and molding tools.
