We are now looking for a Mechatronics engineer defining our brake-by-wire functionality!
We are now looking for an experienced Mechatronics engineer, who can define our future integrated vehicle motion control (IVC) platform and together with our inhouse Software teams and E/E HW development bring this to life.

You will be part of the Chapter Electronics which is one of four competence areas within the E/E HW Tribe. Our focus is to define and develop vehicle solutions for integrated vehicle motion control and self-driving capabilities. We are also supporting this development with data analytics and strategies for data management. You will address work tasks from a HW point of view, integration, releases, and having full responsibility for both HW and SW development.

You will:

- Lead the development within the brake-by-wire field in a team which defines the next generation drive-by-wire systems for our self-driving vehicles.
- Define functional requirements, evaluate concepts and work closely with the team and with suppliers to identify and implement the most optimal brake-by-wire solution for our vehicles.
- Work in close collaboration with engineers who have experience from development of both mechanical and electrical vehicle motion components, such as braking, steering and electric propulsion systems.
- Contribute with the system- and functional perspective of this development and be a key player to find the optimal trade-off between the requirements (performance, functional safety, quality and cost).
- Support defining V&V strategies for brake-by-wire systems
- Support functional safety engineers in the analysis of the HARA and breakdown of safety goals to safety concept and technical safety requirement.
- Work with mentoring of colleagues

Your background includes:

- More than 7 years of experiences from automotive (or similar) industry
- At least 5-7 years of experience as system engineer in the field of vehicle motion control, with at least 3-5 years related to braking and preferably brake-by-wire
- Very good knowledge in ISO 26262 and experience from working with components meeting ASIL C or higher is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree
- Test-driven development approach
- Focus on solving problems
- Ability to share your expertise to colleagues
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
- Driver license for vehicle
