Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Mechatronics engineer steering systems to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On:
Take on the role of an experienced Mechatronics Engineer, specializing in Steering Systems.
Assume responsibility for the ECU Hardware, with a particular focus on the Safety aspects within the complete Delivery Unit.
Initiate and maintain ESOW (Engineering State Of Work) for effective project management.
Develop, write, and update DPR (Design Pre-Requisites) for the assigned component.
Create and release TREG documentation to ensure comprehensive coverage of technical requirements.
Ensure correct structure and organization in Team Center & GBOM (Global Bill of Materials).
Initiate and facilitate Design Reviews (DR), inviting relevant stakeholders to ensure thorough assessments.
Establish and maintain a detailed component time plan to track and manage project milestones.
Manage the Issue Tracker, initiating and leading the PCR process (Part Change Request) as needed.
Includes QOP/SP (Quote One Pager/Support Plan) for streamlined communication and support.
Actively participate and take responsibility for assigned components during builds, including M1, VP, etc.
Conduct Hardware Justification Reports (HWJR) for sensors and electronic components to ensure optimal performance.
Initiate weekly supplier meetings for ongoing communication and collaboration.
Ensure supplier deliveries align with project milestones, including M1, VP-build, etc. Attend material inspections as required.
Verify that suppliers meet all necessary requirements, including DPR, legal demands, D-FMEA, DV&PV testing.
Initiate Kick-off meetings and maintain APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) in collaboration with SQM.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure fulfillment of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
What You Bring:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with significant experience in the automotive industry.
Proven experience and expertise in Steering Systems and Mechatronics.
Familiarity with APQP – PPAP processes and proficiency in FMEA processes.
Strong E/E Hardware competence.
Analytical and problem-solving orientation, with meticulous attention to detail.
Fluent in English for effective communication.
Ability to initiate and manage Engineering State Of Work (ESOW) for comprehensive project control.
Excellent documentation skills, including the creation and release of TREG documentation.
Proficient in organizing and maintaining structured information in Team Center & GBOM.
Experience in initiating and leading Design Reviews (DR) with cross-functional teams.
Competent in creating and managing detailed component time plans for effective project management.
Familiarity with Issue Tracker management, including PCR (Part Change Request) processes.
Knowledge and experience in QOP/SP, M1, VP builds, HWJR, and APQP processes.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to initiate and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Understanding of PPAP and the ability to ensure supplier compliance.
