Navtech, Inc / European Aeronautical Group has for more than 40 years been a leading provider of navigational charts, flight planning and aircraft performance products. More than 120 airlines over the world are currently using our products and services. The principal work for the Aircraft Performance Systems Department consist of calculating maximum take-off/landing weights and to secure safe procedures in case of an engine failure at the airports used by our customers. This is primarily performed using our in-house developed production tools, but a great deal of manual work is also part of the daily production. The daily work and responsibility areas consist of management and interpretation of aircraft manufacturer data, developing and maintaining our customized software and calculating maximum performance limitations for the aircrafts. This work is performed primarily in C++. The majority of the work is performed in close co-operation with our customers. Technical qualifications: Education in Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent) or Software Engineer with Aeronautical skills Basic programming skills (such as C++, or XML, .NET, Java etc.) is a merit since a considerable part of the work consist of development and management of software applications and databases. Programming courses will be supplied during initial training. Personal qualifications: Team player - Able to work in a team, understand and respect colleagues strengths and weaknesses, and take on leadership role as necessary Analytical - Able to find solutions based on analysis of tasks and problems Multi-tasking - Able to take on multiple assignments Engaged and proactive - Responsible, task and target-driven, flexible, and innovative. Fluent written and oral English is a prerequisite.
