Medarbetare till Nordic International School Västerås

In August 2021, we will start a new Swedish school with an international profile in Västerås. The School will be for grades 4-9. We believe that order and discipline create an optimal learning environment. We impart bilingual education in both Swedish and English and use teaching methods that are supported by international research.

We are now opening applications for support staff positions, who are willing to take on the challenging task of supporting the headteacher to set up a new school from the beginning. Apart from providing continuous professional development and academic exchanges between our schools, we offer an exciting opportunity to create and be part of something new.

We are looking for staff with the following skills:

Administration
Special education teacher
School nurse
School counselor
Educational guidance counselor
Caretaker/cleaner


We want staff who have a good ability to collaborate as part of a team, both within the school and later with colleagues at other schools within the group. You need to be good at communicating to have good relationships with students, colleagues, and school management.
We also see that you have a good ability to take your own initiatives because the role means that you must take responsibility for your job.

Qualifications To us, it is of utmost importance that you share our educational vision. We see that you have an education in the role you are applying for. In your professional role, you are thorough and quality-conscious, take great responsibility, and can run processes independently. You need to be good at communicating to have good relationships with students, colleagues, and school management.As our school has an international focus, you should be fluent preferably in both English and Swedish, but you must be fluent in English.

Terms
We have a collective agreement and apply “FERIETJÄNST” among teaching staff and “SEMESTERTJÄNST” among support staff. We will carry out a criminal record check of all candidates upon employment. The start date will be in August 2021. The interviews will start in week 7.
