The role
The current Media Relations Manager has been appointed as the new SVP, Chief Communications Officer from February 1, 2022 and we are looking for a replacement. The person we are looking is an experienced and creative communications professional with a solid background in proactive and reactive media relations, preferably from a listed company.
In the role as Media Relations Manager, you are part of an international setting and will maintain contact with many different functions and be involved in a wide variety of topics.
Responsibilities include:
• Plan, execute and coordinate activities related to media relations. For example, in connection with quarterly reports, acquisitions and appointments but also to increase visibility in target markets
• Provide communications counsel, including media training, to senior stakeholders
• Handle relationships with key Swedish and international media and act as spokesperson
• Work closely with colleagues to create a variety of content such as speeches, social media posts and articles

What we expect from you
For this role integrity, interpersonal skills and an ability to anticipate and identify issues is essential. You need to have excellent writing skills, understand the requirements from different target audiences and be fluent in both Swedish and English. Experience from a multinational environment and crisis communication is a plus. Academic education is required.
The Media Relations Manager reports to the SVP, Chief Communications Officer, but also works closely with many other Atlas Copco colleagues around the globe.

Location
You will be based in Sickla, Sweden. Travel is required to some extent.
