AstraZeneca has a strong and inspiring Oncology pipeline that includes both small molecules and immune therapy. We are therefore looking for you to come and join us as our new Medical Advisor within Breast Cancer. In this role you work closely with colleagues across Nordic area to execute the Medical Affairs Oncology strategy.

The role

In the role as Medical Advisor you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategy and clinical development of our oncology products, contribute to international & regional studies with medical input on feasibility, choice of study centers, site follow up and support. Additionally, you will ensure implementation and conduct of expanded access programs, compassionate use programs, and individual patient supply programs.

A core element in this role is, that you develop long-term professional relationships, build advocacy with, and gain contributions from Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and decision makers. Drive proactive and reactive interactions through collecting and sharing medical and scientific knowledge across the oncology portfolio while assuring quality and deliverables are in accordance with written procedures, current legal requirements, and internal standards.


You provide medical input to both Regulatory Affairs, Health Economics, Pharmacovigilance and Market Access & Reimbursement to support their relevant initiatives.


Accountabilities:

* Collaborate closely with HCPs, and other experts, to ensure appropriate use of established and future AZ products
* Contribute in developing study concepts, identify new opportunities, and work closely with national investigators to generate data to help inform clinical practice
* Work cross-functionally to provide medical input on product strategies, cross functional plans and key deliverables including reimbursement dossiers
* Collaborate with, and provide medical support to Medical Information and Regulatory Affairs



In order to succeed you have

* University degree as MD, PhD, MSc in pharmacy or Life Sciences
* Preferably, more than 2 years of experience as a successful Medical Science Liaison or Medical Advisor within oncology
* Ability to collaborate externally and internally
* Business-oriented thinking, without compromising the scientific elements of the work
* Driver's license required



You must have excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in both written and spoken Swedish as well as English. You are structured, organized and able to keep deadlines without compromising on quality.

Your proven ability to understand, assimilate, and communicate scientific information to a variety of audiences will be as important for the role as will your high ethical standard and good knowledge in pharmaceutical ethical framework. Proficient knowledge of the Healthcare Systems as well as drug development and commercialization processes in Sweden is a strong advantage.
