project/Summary:
Our shift towards electrified mobility means that new product will be introduced increasingly rapidly putting much strain on assembling our gearboxes in Köping efficiently. Thus, there is a great need for automizing assembly task in our new, reconfigurable, assembly system. To that end, there are huge potentials of introducing both fenceless and traditional robot cells However, several challenges exist in evaluating reconfigurable assembly for increased automation. This project aims to define methods for efficient automation evaluation in reconfigurable assembly systems.
