Operations at IKEA IT provide IKEA with a reliable, yet flexible operation of the information system.With its 350 co-workers worldwide Operations secures that all IKEA applications run and are supported to meet the user needs.

In IKEA IT Operations Global Production team in Helsingborg we are looking for a MHS/VMS System Manager.

The MHS (MöbelHus System) is the main store application used in over 200 stores in 22 countries.The SOS (Service Office System) is the system used for range administration, pricing & follow-up within each country Service Office.

As a MHS/VMS System Manager, your main task is to secure the daily production of the retail OpenVMS based MHS and SOS systems.This includes tasks such as incident & problem solving (2nd level support), maintenance, deployment of new hardware/software and securing backup/recovery.

Besides OpenVMS support, the role as MHS/VMS System Manager also includes RDB/database administration, IDRS/Transrouter maintenance, printer handling and basic level application support/troubleshooting.

The tasks sometimes demands working inconvenient working hours and duty schedule (evenings, nights and weekends).

Specification of requirements
Required education and training, professional experience and skills, IKEA experience
You need to have solid knowledge within the areas of
- Alpha/OpenVMS
- Oracle/RDB
- network/decent
- OpenVMS queue/printer

Knowledge about IKEA stores/retail, MHS application and the IT/ITIL processes we are using at IKEA IT (like incident, problem, configuration and change management) is qualifying.
