About the Position & Tasks:
We are now looking for a driven and committed Mine Planning Manager who wants to contribute to a sustainable mining business in Pajala, Swedish Lapland.
As Mine Planning Manager, you are part of the management team at the mine and report directly into the Mine Manager. You are responsible for the people management of the planning team, their work environment and also have budgetary responsibility for the Planning Department. You are also responsible for both short and long-term mining planning, surveying, geology and grade control. The work means that you are responsible for an area under constant change that places high demands on safety awareness and safety. Direct reports include six geologists and two field technicians[LA1] .
As mining planning manager, you lead the work within the department, which includes the development of mining and drilling plans, measurement work, the preparation of the mining plans and hedging/fuse materials?, updating of block models and ore base optimizations, geology and content control, and production follow-up against the plans.[LA2]
Qualifications and Experience:
You will have a university graduate within a relevant field i.e. mining engineering or geology, with leadership experience.
Sound knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications is a requirement. Experience in mining planning software and/or other CAD programs will be a merit.
You probably have significant experience (5-10 years) and a great interest in mining operations, preferable in open pit mining. Work with long-term and capital-intensive projects is a merit.
English and/or Swedish is a requirement and Finnish is a merit. A valid Code B drivers licence is also required.

Contractual Terms: Full-time, permanent position.

Salary: The salary is individually negotiated, however leave and other social benefit elements of your contract are structured according to the local, collective Swedish Civil Service Agreement with the white-collar unions namely Unionen, Ledarna and The Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers.
