Mineral Processing Engineer

Sandvik Mining and Construction is a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries.SMC's production unit in Svedala is a global development center for stone crushers, which are used in mining, quarries and the construction industry.The site is divided into three main areas of operation: foundry (Wear Parts), mechanical workshop (Parts) and assembling (Assembly). We are now looking for a Mineral Processing Engineer, based in Svedala. Key performance areas As Mineral Processing Engineer your main qualifications and tasks include: - High degree of knowledge in processes and methods for predicting grinding and mineral liberation - Experience in simulation and modelling - Being able to introduce new products to end users - Give input on business intelligence to the product line - Evaluate results from grinding processes and developing best practices - Developing and communicating Customer Value Propositions for the individual products and combined offerings of the product line - Providing technical and commercial support to the Regional organization - Visiting key customers in conjunction with the sales team to provide in-depth technical sales-related knowledge - Developing direct customer relationships with key clients and helping the aftermarket teams introduce their services The position includes international travelling for at least 50-100 days/year.Your profile The successful candidate for this position has a university degree in engineering, for example Industrial Environment and Process Techniques or from other relevant degree.At least five years' work experience is a requirement.International contacts are a plus as is work experience from abroad and/or working with other countries.As a person you are driven, structured, stress tolerant and team oriented.It is essential that you can communicate in a global environment.Consequently you must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
