Mining Planning Engineer at Zinkgruvan

About the position
Your results are integral to the overall performance of Zinkgruvan Mining and you play an important role in driving the strategic goals and future success of our company. The position reports to Section Manager, Mine Planning.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Preparation of long-term mine plans: Life-of-Mine, 5-year plan, and production budget for the coming financial year.
• Create mine designs for new production areas and establish mining strategies involving various disciplines including geology, rock mechanics, ventilation, and drill and blast.
• Technical support for the operations departments.
• Project work and project management within the department.


Your profile
The ideal candidate will have five years’ experience in mine planning or project planning, and knowledge of mine planning software, preferably Deswik. We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher in mining or mining-related fields. To succeed in this role, it is important to have the analytical skills required to drive improvements, good teamwork ability, and strong communication skills. Good command of the English language is also an asset.
