As we are entering several new and exciting projects we are expanding our team with a driven and proactive Mission System Integrator.

Your role

Combining the capabilities of different combat systems to create a top notch Mission System, to let the naval vessel perform at its full potential- that's Mission system integration! Our section is responsible for the Combat Management Systems and Communication Systems on board naval vessels, both submarines and surface vessels. We also perform infological integration of all the operational sensors into the overall Mission System. While we do not develop the systems ourselves we instead build systems of systems by the means of IT-architecture, Interface specifications and set up requirements/specifications to our sub-contractors. You will complement the sections capability with special skills within Computer Network Architecture and implementation of interfaces. This is a key role in our mission ahead. You will team up with one specific colleague and learn and grow to be an expert in your area of expertise. Your workdays will be varied and full of opportunities for development and learning.

The main tasks are:

* Develop and maintain IRS (Interface Requirement Specification)
* Interact with sub-contractors that provide components to the Mission System
* Participate in- and manage interface workshops, and interface testing activities


You report to Head of section Combat System Kockums. The role include business travels both nationally and abroad. The frequency is affected by which projects and in which phases we are in.

Your profile

We are looking for you who find it fun to go to work and solve important technical challenges! We need you to be result and solution oriented with a "get the job done" attitude. A success factor in the role is that you are curious and have a structured way of working in order not to miss details. The role include many stakeholders both with internal colleagues and external parties such as customers and subcontractors. It´s vital you have high ability to collaborate, excellent ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and expertise and build long term professional relationships.


Required skills.

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Data / Physics Engineering or similar
* Computer communication
* Minimum a few years of relevant experience
* Skills within systems engineering
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
* Driving license


Desired skills:

* Master's degree in Electrical / Data / Physics Engineering
* Experience within military computer systems is as well as operational experience
* Experience as technical officer
* Experience in Java script programming


This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.


What you will be a part of

We offer a developing and challenging role where you get to work with unique products at the forefront of technology. You will work from our centrally located office in Malmö, close to communications. Our successful and helpful team is located in Malmö and Karlskrona and participates in purchasing, negotiations, support designers, test & verification and program management. You report to Peter Karlsson, a manager who offers trust and freedom but also expects that you want to deliver and has a focus on the result.
