The Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our fast-moving tech team. This role is ideal for a newly graduated master’s student from top-tier universities or programs in Stockholm or Copenhagen, who is passionate about machine learning and eager to dive into the world of digital biology.
As a New Grad Machine Learning Engineer, you will be working alongside experienced professionals to develop state-of-the-art machine learning models that contribute to groundbreaking advancements in digital biology. This role requires a blend of strong coding skills, a keen willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in digital biology.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and enhancement of machine learning models, including protein language models and geometric ML models.
Actively learn and engage with interdisciplinary teams, including biochemists, molecular biologists, data scientists, and software developers, to understand and integrate biological insights into ML solutions.
Demonstrate eagerness to learn and apply new techniques and methodologies in machine learning and computational biology.
Participate in coding and model development tasks, contributing to the team’s efforts in innovation and technical excellence.
Show initiative and enthusiasm in taking on new challenges and learning opportunities within the field.
Qualifications
Recent Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field, preferably from a top-tier university or program.
Some experience in machine learning, coding, and data analysis, with a willingness to expand knowledge and skills in these areas.
Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
An interest in computational biology; willingness to learn and excel in this domain is essential.
Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning and development.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
